Tips for Practicing Online

  • Required props: yoga mat (not pilates mat), strap, 2 blocks, and a yoga bolster if you plan to do restorative yoga.

  • I encourage students to practice in warmth--at least 80 degrees. Warmth relaxes muscles allowing us to go deeper into our poses. Additionally, warmth promotes the release of toxins through sweating.

  • Have water on hand, you'll want to grab some sips during class.

  • Yoga is not competitive. It is about you and your time on the mat, connecting mind, body spirit.. We learn and grow on the mat and take that with us into the world.

  • Listen to your body, I will lead you into your practice, but follow what your body tells you and do what feels good.

  • And remember....the pose begins when you want to exit it. Namaste!

Online Tips:

  • If you aren't familiar with Google Meet, you'll want to familiarize yourself with it. Learn how to mute/unmute, pin a screen to maximize what you can see.

  • You may want to connect your phone or computer to external speakers so you can hear me better.
